About Wild About Speech

Hello Everyone!!

My name is Andrea and I am the founder and owner of Wild About Speech. I am passionate about helping children learn how to use their voice to communicate.

Some FUN facts about me include:

  • Ice cream . . . ANYTIME.
  • Backpacking in the great wild.
  • Blackbelt in Taekwondo and dabbled in Krav Maga
  • 90s TV shows all the way!

Connection is so important to each of us! We connect with each other over coffee dates and bon fires. Our children connect and socialize over sports, school events, church functions, and play dates.

We need and use communication daily. That’s why I am so passionate about Speech Therapy! Whether it be coming alongside families navigating challenges of children with articulation disorders (aka  it’s very hard to understand them) or supporting children as they strive to eliminate thumb sucking and open mouth postures, I am very excited to support families in their individualized journey.

Overall, I strive to help children feel comfortable and confident as they are learning skills of connection and communication.

Our clinic specializes in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders . . . this is just a fancy term for teaching individuals how to use correct tongue posture. Believe it or not, appropriate tongue posture affects your speech (articulation), your sleep, and your overall health.

We also assist with oral habit elimination. This is anything from thumb sucking to nail biting.

Having a background in education, I enjoy organizing a treatment plan for each individual child as they come in to see me. Every child is unique and should be treated with individualized care!

I would love to sit down and chat with you about your concerns. We are here to help!
